Coral Bazaar is built in panels that run the length of the scarf rather than as a repeating pattern. The centre carries standing floral bouquets in taupe, soft blue and mauve, drawn in the manner of an old block print over a fine linework ground.
The borders are where the colour lives. Rows of small coral motifs sit between narrow brown lines, and a plain pale blue edge closes the whole thing, so the print reads as a series of parallel bands laid side by side.
Coral is what sets this one apart. It is the only warm note in an otherwise cool print, and it lifts the ivory ground into something bright rather than soft. The sponge weave gives it body and a slight grain, so it holds a wrap without slipping.
