Quick Wrap is a scarf, not a ready made piece. The difference is that the part that sits against the head is already sewn.
You can see it in the stitched line running over the crown and down the side. That line is what sets the hairline for you, so there is no adjusting at the temples and no cap needed underneath. Everything below it is free cloth, which is why it still falls and crosses like a scarf you wrapped yourself, instead of holding one fixed shape.
The hem is topstitched, so the edge stays straight across the chest rather than rolling. And the knit grips against itself, so it holds without a pin.
