Sand Ripple runs in fine lines rather than blocks. Narrow lengthwise stripes in sand, cream and soft gold sit close together, none of them sharply edged, so the whole thing reads as texture rather than pattern.
The colours stay within one family, which is what makes it behave like a neutral. There is enough going on to keep it from looking plain, but nothing that competes with what you wear it over.
The sponge weave gives it body and a slight grain, so it holds a wrap without slipping. The edges are left with a natural fringe rather than a stitched hem.
